I'm a lactation consultant, mother, and host of the Motherwear Breastfeeding Blog.

Biography

I'm Tanya Lieberman, host of the Motherwear blog and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Though I am a California native, I live with my husband and son in Western Massachusetts, where Motherwear is based.

I work at a several hospitals providing breastfeeding support and education, and am home with my son when he's not at preschool.

Before becoming a lactation consultant I worked in education policy as senior education policy staff to the California Senate and Governor. I've also served with the United Nations as an organizer of elections in peacekeeping missions in Cambodia, Bosnia, and South Africa.

Interests

When not working and taking care of my son, I love to try different craft forms. I'm very slowly working on a family history cookbook which chronicles my family's immigration from Japan and records our favorite recipes.
